Children’s Ministries
1) Cry Room – a cry room is available in the back of the sanctuary for parents who wish to sit with a child in a room where they can hear but not be heard. The room is equipped with rocking chairs, baby equipment and toys, as well as a private bath. We welcome children, even noisy ones, in our service.
2) Kingdom Kids– this ministry is available during the entire service on Sunday mornings for all children 1-3 years of age. Downstairs, off of our Fellowship Hall, you will find a clearly marked room that is warm, inviting, and age-appropriate, prepared to help your children have the best possible experience while at Riverside. The room is staffed with at least two adult volunteers who have received background checks to ensure that your child is well taken care of. When you drop off your child, you and your child will be given matching numbers, which you will need to bring back when you pick up your child after the service. We believe Jesus Christ has a special heart for children, and so we do too – we hope that this is evident in the way we treat your child.
3) Children’s Church– During the service, usually after the music and before the sermon, kids ages 3 through 4th grade are welcomed to head downstairs, where an age-appropriate lesson will be taught. (Split into Pre-K and K-2nd grade.) You will find a Children’s Church check-in table near the main church entrance off of our sanctuary where you can check your child in before the service starts. Otherwise, we ask you to walk your child downstairs when they are dismissed and check them in with their teacher.
4) Sunday School– At 11:20 after the service, we offer Sunday School for children in Pre-K, K, 1st-2nd, and 3rd-4th grade. The children learn a lesson, plays some games, listen to music, all under the supervision of our wonderful teachers who have a strong faith in and knowledge of the Lord’s teachings.
